Between 1985 and 2000, a team of
volunteers created and published a 'world
directory of agricultural information resource centers' for
IAALD. This publication is now out of print.
Today, we are in an online world
in which important directory information regarding organisations,
information centres and expertise in agricultural information
is scattered across several locations. Initiatives have been started
to provide easy access to these distributed databases via smart
search tools and the adoption of standards.
To facilitate access to such information,
we recommend the following:
- A voluntary register
of IAALD members and their organisations hosted by ZADI (including
information on IAALD institutional members). Please add or
update your information to this resource.
- A directory
of agriculture-related information centers and libraries in
Central and Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union countries
maintained by the IAALD CEE Chapter
- The AIBDA
membership directory of agricultural information specialists
in the America's
- The WISARD
directory of organizations in the fields of Agricultural Research
for Development, Natural Resource Management, and sustainable
development
